2. Core Principle: 100% Local Processing

Unspoken is designed so that all speech processing takes place exclusively on your device. This means:

  • Your audio is never transmitted to our servers
  • We have no access to your dictations or transcriptions
  • No voice data is stored in the cloud
  • No AI models are trained with your data
  • Speech recognition works completely offline

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Website Usage

When visiting our website, we collect the following data:

  • IP address (anonymized after 24 hours)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • Date and time of access

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the website)

Retention period: 90 days for server logs

3.2 App Usage

The Unspoken app does not collect any personal data. All processing takes place locally on your device.

3.3 Purchase and Licensing

When purchasing a license or subscription, we collect:

  • Email address
  • License key
  • Purchase date and amount

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance)

Retention period: For the duration of the business relationship plus statutory retention periods (up to 10 years for tax-relevant data)

4. Payment Processing

Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. (510 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA). We do not store payment card data. Stripe processes the following data:

  • Payment card data
  • Email address
  • IP address
  • Device information
